The Kuredu Island Resort is located at the northern rim of the Lhaviyana Atoll, a ring of beautifully secluded islands in the Laccadive Sea. White, powdery sands encase the island along with green foliage to create a tropical utopia which guests are free to explore and enjoy at their leisure. Anyone can enjoy this Bond-esque location, with adult only zones for those seeking something quiet, and plenty of activities for families.
The complex is situated 35 minutes (sea transfer) from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Facilities within the complex include 2 swimming pools, tennis court, gymnasium, health spa, and entertainment centre.
The rooms feature air conditioning, safe, mini-bar, shower, CD player, and tea/coffee making facilities.
The All Inclusive option includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on offer.
ACCOMMODATION
Each of the bungalows and villas has traditional looks from without and the comforts within are aimed to provide a memorable holiday in paradise. The standard facilities include air-conditioning, fan, telephone with international dialing facility, CD player with CDs for loan, coffee and tea making facility, safe deposit box, well stocked mini bar, shower with hot and cold water, sun chairs, sun loungers.
Garden Bungalows - Located amidst tastefully landscaped gardens just behind the new 'O' Beach Villas and set a few steps back from the beach on the northeastern part of the island. They include all of the features listed above.
Beach Bungalows
Located on the northern beach, these bungalows are tastefully furnished with comfortable rattan furniture, with a similar design to the garden bungalows, and feature all of the facilities listed above.
Beach Villas
Located near the lagoon on the south centre beaches, these villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area, a small garden and are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture, romantic open-air bathrooms, walk in shower and feature a furnished verandah. In addition to the standard facilities, they have a four poster bed, a ceiling fan, kimono, and 32" flat screen LCD colour televisions.
"O" Beach Villas
Located on the northeast part of the island, these villas allow guests to catch the very first rays of the rising sun as they enter the room through the glass wall in the front. These new villas have a spacious bedroom with a sitting area and are exquisitely furnished with a dressing table and sofa with table in teak. The terrace has a daybed with fan on top, and a sitting group, and a romantic open air bathroom with walk in shower. In addition to standard facilities, they feature a king size bed, cupboards with plenty of storage space, ceiling fan inside and on the deck, wine-cooler, day-bed, beach towels, kimono, and CD with iPod docking station. The 'O' Resort restricts admission to all its facilities only to guests above 12 years of age. Presently the Beach Villas and 'O' Beach Villas are sold as Beach Villas.
Jacuzzi Beach Villas
Situated by the southwest and southeast beaches a few steps from the beautiful lagoon these villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area. Each villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi. They also have four poster beds with a mosquito net, ceiling fan, beach towels, kimonos, CD, and 32 inch flat screen LCD colour televisions, as well as the standard facilities offered in all rooms.
Water Villas
Located on the northwest side of the island build on wooden stilts over the crystal clear waters of the lagoon. These villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, and a bathroom with a walk in shower overlooking the turquoise lagoon. They have a four poster bed with mosquito net, ceiling fan, beach towels, kimonos, CD, 32 inch flat screen LCD colour televisions, plus other facilities as above.
DINING & ENTERTAINMENT
The resort is proud to present to its guests three main restaurants, three a-la-carte restaurants, two coffee bars, five bars and room service.
Clients will be allocated restaurants according to room category as follows:
Bonthi Restaurant
Located in the centre of the island, this is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows and Garden Bungalows for all their meals. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights. Being located in the main area, Bonthi does not have any age restrictions.
Koamas Restaurant
Also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu in the centre of the island, this restaurant serves international & local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island. Being located in the main part of the island, Koamas is also the main restaurant for families with children below 12 years of age.
'O' Restaurant
With a deck spreading over the water on the eastern end of the island, this new restaurant has an ambience of being one with nature. Buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner are served. This is the allocated restaurant for the new "O" Beach Villas on the north eastern part of the island. The 'O' Resort restricts admission to all its facilities only to guests above 12 years of age, for safety reasons.
Sangu Restaurant
The allocated restaurant for guests in the Water Villas. Buffets are served with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Due to the popular requests of our guests, this restaurant does not accept table reservations for guests below 12 years of age.
PORTS & LEISURE
A wide range of sports facilities are available for the active guest, with something to suit everyone, no matter their interests.
The most recent addition is the 6-hole pitch & putt Golf Course and the full length Driving Range. The Golf Course also features a Pro Shop where players can rent or purchase golf clubs as well as other golf equipment and a Bar. The Golf Course is open some evenings until 22:00 and is flood-lit.
There is a fully equipped air-conditioned Gym with a multi-station work out machine, tread mills, exercise bicycles, dumbbells and bell bars.
Kuredu Island Resort has possibly the largest water sports centre in the Maldives, offering a wide range of activities to suit every interest and level of experience: Parasailing, water-skiing/wakeboarding, Banana and Blast rides, pedaloes & canoes, windsurfing, kite surfing and catamaran sailing.
For those who prefer to keep active on land, also offered are: an international-standard flood lit tennis court, volleyball on the beach organised daily, football, badminton, table tennis, giant chess, pool tables, table football, darts and chess.
Kuredu has the following shops on the island: Souvenir, Silver, Jewellery, Dive, Spa and Golf.
There are also 2 large swimming pools with sundeck and one children's pool, regular day time activities and evening entertainment, gift shop, TV room and a library. Sunset cruises, island excursions, deep-sea and night fishing excursions can also be arranged at a local charge.
SPA
For those who prefer to relax and unwind, Duniye Spa offers an exquisite range of treatments. The Thai, Indian and Balinese Therapists are professionally trained in the health and beauty industry. The Duniye Spa is located in the centre of the island amidst relaxing gardens and the new "O" Spa is partly built over the water on the eastern end of the island. Additional charges will apply for Spa treatments.
